Maryann Sullivan: Radio Personality

Maryann Sullivan has been an on-air radio personality in the Twin Cities since the 1980s. She has worked on the air as an announcer, newscaster, show host, interviewer, and producer in a variety of radio formats and settings.

Maryann's latest radio adventure is with "Euro Jazz Plus," an internet radio station that is part of the Super Radio network. You can listen online here: Euro Jazz Plus Internet Radio

Her broadcasting career began when she worked at KTWN-108 in Anoka, the first full time jazz radio station in the Twin Cities area. Since then she has worked at jazz, pop, rock, adult contemporary, sports talk, public radio, news, and talk radio formats. You may have heard her on the air at Cities 97, KQRS, MPR, KBEM, WAYL/Kiss 980, and MyTalk 107.1.

One of Maryann's crowning achievements was being selected to host jazz programming on MPR following the retirement of Leigh Kamman's "The Jazz Image" on MPR. Maryann hosted The Jazz Connection, a program heard every Saturday night on MPR stations until MPR sadly discontinued jazz programming in 2009.

In 2009, she conceived and produced two shows for KBEM: "Corner Jazz," a weekly program featuring mainstream jazz and interviews; and "On the Local Corner," a weekly jazz show featuring all local musicians. During the show's run, Maryann produced over 120 interviews with local, national, and international musicians.
